Zotz!!!!!!- Where the Fizz Izz!

Everybody's favorite flavored fizzing candy, Zotz!!!!! Individually wrapped sour assorted fruit flavored hard candy with powder candy in the middle that fizzes when it touches liquid!
My mom and I used to love these when I
was younger, we haven't seen them in ages. While she was on vacation this past week she found Zotz in her 5 star hotel lobby- what a strange world! So this week I will be chomping on Zotz- 'The Fizzing Candy'

Chair of the Week!- Eames

This will be the first Chair of the Week post, each week I will choose an awsome chair and give some history and backround to the chair.. if you find any great chairs please inform me and I will post it one Friday on the Chair of the Week post!

Charles and Ray Eames (Husband and Wife)-  Eames Aluminum Management Desk Chair
Aluminum Group chairs were originally developed in 1958 as a special project by Charles and Ray Eames for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard. Sold only by Herman Miller at the time.  The seat-back suspension was a major technical achievement and represented a departure from the concept of the chair as a solid shell. The Management Chair is both classic and contemporary. The chair's clean, trim lines make it appropriate for all kinds of places, from contemporary homes to elegant offices.

I chose this chair this week because I recently accuired one of my own ( Not an original but still certified Eames Design)! I LOVE IT! This is the most genious desk chair design out there still! These chairs run anywhere from the typical knock off of $166- $6,000 dependent on the design and the maker. I have the chocolate brown one, whish I had the olive green! Only I only paid $10 for a $3,000 chair!  Thanks Kevin!

Scooter Bag

Looky Looky! Two things I just love in this world- Owls and Vespa's!!! Although there are no owls on this bag I'm officially in love! Made by Retrofied on Etsy.com.  The outisde of this hobo bag is Echino Ni-co by Etsuko Furuya. This is her brand new line. It's $62 (that I don't have), but it's just to die for. In the words of Rachel Zoe " this bag is 'shutting it down'"!!!

Hot Dog Diet?

'Well gee wiz' they had it wrong in the fifties, cold cuts, bologna, salami, pimento loaf and hotdogs to loose weight? Sounds more like a high spike in your cholesterol! I found this old advertisement for the American Meat Institute in a 1955 magazine. I have to say those hot dogs do look good, but can anyone tell me…..what on earth is the green jelly mold in the middle?

I'm a Newbie!.....

So today I will post my first Blog ever!! Congrats to me! and a special thanks to Holly @ http://www.mommyholly.blogspot.com/  for shwoing me what fun a blog can be! My blog will have a 'Retro' (and I use that word loosely) inspired theme; with a few things I just love that are 'non-retro' as well. Things like interior design, furniture, scrapbooks, floral arrangements, movies, books... heck.. whatever I want!!! Look out blogging world.. RetroSundays has arrived.
